is a place where minds meet to chart new
directions to go.
where we address the unfixed ideals of man
to make the difference, make it happen;
all the while, riding the wave
and where certain habits live on.


This exhibition reflects upon the many opportunities and pursuits by us, GDP Architects, over the course of our first thirty-five years of practice—from 1990 until present-day—on how we have contributed to various ‘canvasses’, spanning from the minuteness of a room, to the vastness of a country. It is a retrospection driven by a simple hope: to perhaps learn from the journey thus far, and to pave our way for the chapters to come. 

The exhibition not only foregrounds the spirit of GDP’s collective attitude towards design practice and thinking, but also serves as a product of our intrinsic way of working, that is by the way of collaboration — Needless to say, much like everything else we do, it takes a village. Through this undertaking, we celebrate the varied notable achievements of the group’s past endeavours right up to the recent completion of our new home, GDP Campus.

And so by revisiting our roots and reflecting upon our journey thus far through this showcase, we humbly invite you to take this window of opportunity, with us, to reconnect with the very words that make us:
